October 2010 Meeting TOPIC: Kranks for Kids DATE: Wednesday, October 27, 2010 PLACE: Chelmsford Center for the Arts (Old Town Hall) 1A North Road Chelmsford, MA 01824 Lower level TIME: 7:30 PM GUEST SPEAKER: Jeff Ilg Kranks for Kids is a new organization dedicated to helping expose youth to the joy of the outdoors, the value of mechanical skill, physical fitness, and the importance of developing and maintaining the environmentally sustainable modes of transportation. This mission is accomplished through the combination of collaborative and mentored assembly, riding and the sheer fun of bicycles. He feels passionately that ALL kids should have the joy of riding a bike, learning about the environment, contributing to their communities, and learning about the benefits of physical fitness at a young age.
The Chelmsford Center for the Arts located in the historic Town Hall is Chelmsford's only public art institution. Opened on November 7, 2009, it is the home to the CCA Gallery, Artists-in-Residence Studios, Chelmsford Art Society, Chelmsford Community Band, Chelmsford Community Jazz Band, and Illumination Opera.
